Live! Casino & Hotel is in suburban Baltimore. This is the largest of Maryland’s casinos. It is home to about 4,000 slot and video poker machines and around 200 table games. It also has a poker room, a FanDuel sportsbook, a hotel, and seven restaurants. 

We visited Live! Maryland late on a Saturday afternoon. It was extremely busy. Table game limits were high. Most of the machines were occupied as well.

The table game selection at Live! Maryland is exceptional. Every major table game and several minor ones are available here. 

The table games that we found, and the minimum bets they offered, are listed below. We were here on a late afternoon on a Saturday, meaning we may have found the highest limits of the week. There may be lower-limit games available on weekdays and during other off-peak hours.

High-limit table games started at $50. These tables include blackjack, roulette, baccarat, and Ultimate Texas Hold’em.

We also found electronic double zero roulette. There is a stadium craps game, double zero roulette, and 6:5 blackjack. Stadium roulette was $5, while craps and blackjack were $15. 

Live! Maryland video poker

We only found one section of video poker on the casino floor, though there were a few more machines at the bars and in the smoking lounge. My top pick is $1 9/6 Double Double Bonus Poker. The video poker variants were covered on multi-game machines. The list includes Ultimate X, Ultimate X Bonus Streak, Ultimate X Spin Poker, 3/5/10-play, Super Times Pay, Double Super Times Pay, Extra Draw, and Deal Draw. The denominations were typically nickel, dime, quarter, half-dollar, and sometimes a dollar. 

Orchid gaming smoking patio

The Orchid gaming patio is a concept that was created as a way to give smokers an area to play. The rooms are walled in with open air towards the top of the walls. If you were not paying attention, you might not know that you were outside. This area has stadium baccarat and live roulette, blackjack (both 6:5 and 3:2), and baccarat. There are also slot machines and video poker, including a $1 and $2 progressive.

Live! Rewards players club

There are six tiers to the Live! Rewards players club. Classic is the entry tier. Players reach Gold status at 25,000 tier credits or 100 hours of live poker annually. Platinum is achieved after 100,000 points or 500 hours of poker in a year. The Black Card requires 500,000 tier points or 5,000 hours of poker. Jade takes one million tier points in a year. The Chairman’s Club requires two million points.

Rewards points are earned by playing your favorite games. Slots earn a point for every $1 wagered. It is $2 for video poker and $6 for electronic table games. Live table games are based on the game, bet level, and length of play. Players may convert 600 points into $1 in rewards.

FanDuel Sportsbook

FanDuel operates the sportsbook at Live! Maryland. The betting counter opens at 11am Monday through Friday and 9am on weekends. It closes at midnight daily. FanDuel sports betting kiosks operate 24 hours a day. The sportsbook has a viewing area with 40 televisions.

Dining and drinks at Live! Maryland

Live! Casino Maryland has seven dining options. A 3% facility fee is added to every check. Minors are not permitted to dine at Live! Maryland. However, more dining options are available in the Arundel Mills shopping center.

David’s Restaurant & Bar and Luckies are both located on the hotel lobby level. Luckies serves Starbucks coffee and quick bites. The menu includes Asian specialty snacks and drinks, sandwiches, salads, and pastries. Flavors from the New World, Pacific Rim, Mediterranean, and Maryland influence the menu at David’s Restaurant & Bar. Menu items include sandwiches, pasta, meatloaf, chicken, and seafood. The lounge opens daily at 4:30pm.

Casual dining

Luk Fu features Korean, Chinese, and Vietnamese cuisine. Located by the baccarat pit, this Asian-themed restaurant offers sushi, dim sum, soup, congee, noodles, fried rice, and other specialty dishes.

Sports & Social is a new sports bar. This sports bar has a 100-foot media wall including over 40 TVs, along with bowling, foosball, and shuffleboard. Menu items include tacos, hot sandwiches, salads, burgers, entrees, and a large beer selection.

Upscale dining

Upscale dining is available at The Prime Rib. Menu items here include a roasted half chicken, pork and lamb chops, steaks, and seafood. Specialties include their lava rock menu and locally sourced seafood. Friday and Saturday nights bring live music. 

Bites near Orchid Gaming Smoking Patio

Morty’s and Orchid Kitchen are located near the Orchid Gaming Smoking Patio. Morty’s specializes in deli sandwiches, which are made on freshly baked bread and rolls from local bakeries.

Orchid Kitchen is open 24 hours daily. Breakfast is served daily from 6am until 10am, with select breakfast items available at 2am. Breakfast choices include bowls, a breakfast sandwich, and a parfait. Other menu items include deli sandwiches, quesadillas, tacos, pizza, and desserts.

Located at the center of the casino floor, R Bar is open daily from 7am until 2am. R Bar has electronic baccarat, roulette, and craps games with dealer assistance. TVs around the bar and lounge show sporting events. The bar at Orchid Gaming Smoking Patio features barrel-aged cocktails and premium cigars. Drink service is available Friday and Saturday from 11am until 2am.

The hotel at Live! Casino Maryland has 310 guest rooms, including 52 suites. Rooms are subject to a $14.99 resort fee per room per night. The resort fee includes WiFi, in-room coffee, local and domestic calls, and overnight self-parking. There is also an event center on the property. Live! Casino Maryland is at Arundel Mills.

Rooms

All rooms at Live! Casino Maryland include internet, seating area, 55” TV, safe, coffee maker, hair dryer, bathrobes, and walk-in shower. Rooms are available with a single king or two queen beds.

Suites

There are five suite trims, a spa villa, and two penthouse styles at Live! Casino Maryland. The Signature and Autograph Suites provide guests with additional space. Connecting Deluxe King rooms are available for even more space. The Presidential Suite features a living room with a 75” TV, refrigerator, bar area, and a half-bathroom. Some Presidential Suites include a dining table.

The Luxury Suite features two 65” TVs, a separate living room with a wet bar, and a half-bathroom. Some Luxury Suites also have a dining area. Connecting Presidential Suites or Deluxe King rooms are available. The Spa Suite features a spa treatment area, a living room with a dining table, a 60” TV, and an oversized bathroom. Some rooms have soaking bathtubs.
