US Casino Advantage visited Mesquite, Nevada, on April 16, 2026. These are the live table games, electronic table games, and the best video poker we found at Eureka, Virgin River, and Casablanca.

Mesquite is about 80 miles northwest of downtown Las Vegas. It is on the last few exits before the northwest corner of Arizona along I-15.

Live table games start at $5. No Mesquite casinos have high-limit tables.

Electronic table games in Mesquite include a selection of Interblock games. All craps and crapless craps games we found require the 5% commission upfront on Buy wagers. A Lucky Roller side bet is available on all dice games (craps, crapless craps, and Easy Craps). All video blackjack pays 6:5 and the dealer hits a soft 17. The large side bet menu on blackjack includes KK, QQ, JJ, 7s, A-2, Match, Pair, Poker 3, and 19+.

Eureka had the most electronic table game options in Mesquite. Heads-up games have a $1 minimum. This includes two craps, one Easy Craps, and three blackjack machines. Blackjack offers a two-player option. This allows two games to be played using the same bankroll. Multiplayer roulette has six seats and a $3 minimum. It uses $0.50 chips.

There is also a 17-seat stadium. The large menu of options includes baccarat (commission and no commission), blackjack (single and multihand), craps, crapless craps, Easy Craps, double zero roulette, Reel Roulette, and Megamania Superspin. Megamania Superspin has a $1 minimum; baccarat and live dealer roulette games are $5, and the remaining options are $3.

Roulette has four listed options. However, only two wheels are used; one for live dealer games and another for auto-spin ones. Reel Roulette only pays 28:1 on straight bets in exchange for a chance of two to five multipliers, ranging from 50x to 500x. Similarly, all three dice games use the same bubble for roll results. Two different side bet menus are offered for baccarat games. Players can also choose the traditional commission option or one in which the Banker pays a 50% commission on a win with 6.

Casablanca’s video poker is all over the place. Most of the lower limit games are terrible, with some good ones on older Game Kings. Old $0.25 Five Play machines have six progressive meters, one for each line’s royal, plus one for getting dealt a royal flush. The bar near the pit has one old machine in a wheelchair spot with better low-limit video poker. The options are $0.25, $0.50, and $1 8/5 Bonus Poker, 9/7 Double Bonus, 9/6 Double Double Bonus, and 15/9 Deuces Wild. These are all around 99%.

Casablanca has the same video poker variants as its sister casino, Virgin River, plus it offers Quick Quads, Good Times Pay, and 6 Card Super Draw. The denominations typically run from nickel up to either quarter, half-dollar, or dollar.

The food situation is not ideal

We visited Mesquite on a Thursday evening. We decided to splurge on a steakhouse, as the other options are mostly fast food or cafes. Our original reservation was at Katherine’s at Casablanca. We arrived at our 8pm reservation time. It was chaos. Our table was not ready. The host asked us to wait.

The restaurant, which runs about $75 per person, was rowdy like a sports bar on Super Bowl Sunday. The lobby was full of people waiting to the point it was hard to get in and out of the door. It was so loud that it was hard to hear anything. The tables were pushed together to the point where you might as well have been sitting with the people next to you.

We waited to see what would happen with our table. They seated some other patrons while we waited. The vibe was not what we expected. We decided this would not be worth the money, and since our table was not available, we canceled the reservation. Katherine’s reported us to OpenTable as a no-show, even though they were unable to seat us.

We called Gregory’s at Eureka. They had immediate seating. When we arrived, they asked if we wanted to sit at the bar. We said no, so they seated us next to the bar, instead of in the dining room, which was only half full. The seating in the bar area was as awkward as at Katherine’s. The tables were pushed together. It had more of an upscale sports bar feel than a nice steakhouse.

Steaks come with small sides and either soup or salad for $40 to $50. The prices were great, but the food was average, at best.

We have both worked in restaurants, which always have good and bad nights. Maybe we were just there on a bad one.

In the past, we have eaten at Mesquite cafes. The food and service were as expected. The prices were reasonable. Those are probably the better options, based on our two steakhouse experiences that night. The value is definitely better at the cafes.
