Caesars Atlantic City Trip Report

We arrived in Atlantic City mid-afternoon on Wednesday. We had three comped nights at Caesars. It was through a Caesars Rewards offer. I have always found that program to be one of the best players clubs for that.

It was our only stay in a casino for the entire trip. We took it easy during our Atlantic City visit. It was a bit of a vacation from our road trip. We drove several hours every day since leaving Cincinnati a week earlier.

We had a view of the beach. The room had a lot of wear and tear on the furniture, but it was clean.

Atlantic City Boardwalk Trip Report

Atlantic City Marina Trip Report

Our first walk outside took us on the Boardwalk. It was my second time there. My previous one was about three years before this trip. Kristina had never been to Atlantic City before.

We walked the Boardwalk all the way to Ocean Resort, taking pictures and eating pizza along the way. We checked out the beach and other attractions along the Boardwalk, though many places were still closed or significantly limited in capacity. After taking in the sights and many pictures, we walked back to Caesars.

Kristina took a break in the hotel while I played video poker. I noticed the Double Jokers game that was the best in Atlantic City was downgraded. I played it anyway because the progressive still made it worth it. I dropped $200 chasing that, so I headed over to Quick Quads and got all of it back and then some.

We got hungry and walked down to Tropicana for Chickie’s and Pete’s. After that, Kristina went back to the room to organize pictures and I hit the pit.

I won a quick $500 at Ultimate Texas Hold’em. I caught a straight flush. I took it to the high limit room and played $100 blackjack that stands on soft 17. I won $325 more before calling it a night.

This post continues on Thursday night. We checked out other Atlantic City Boardwalk casinos during the day, followed by dinner. Kristina went back to the room to organize pictures. I played in the casino at Caesars.

I started with some video poker, chasing the royal flush progressive on Double Joker that nobody hit yet. I caught some good hands but never the big one that I wanted. I left video poker up $120. I decided to parlay it at high limit blackjack.

I bought in for $1,500. I was there for about three hours. I was the only player at the table the entire time. The dealers and supervisor were friendly. It was fun, but my luck made it even better.

I could not have run hotter. Nearly every double down and split hit. The dealer busted more often than expected and the house had few miracle draws, but I did. After three hours, it was time to cash out of the game and head back to the room.

This was by far the best day for gambling on the trip. In a few days, I will publish a post that is the exact opposite of this one, courtesy of a bad run in MGM National Harbor’s high limit salon.

The next post covers our visits to all the Atlantic City casinos. That will include the list of table games and good video poker that we found.
