Catawba Two Kings Casino in Kings Mountain, North Carolina, now has live table games. The new pit opened on Monday, June 17, 2024.

The live table games are in a new section of the temporary casino. It features a variety of options that include baccarat, blackjack, craps, double zero roulette, Mississippi Stud, and Three Card Poker. All live table games started a $25 minimum bet on opening day. Some tables moved up to $50 as the day progressed.

The following day, Mississippi Stud and Three Card Poker tables dropped to $10. Blackjack, roulette, and craps remained at $25 and $50. Baccarat started as high as $100 on opening day, based on player reports.

Blackjack uses six decks. It pays 3/2. Standard double down rules apply. The dealer hits on soft 17. Catawba Two Kings table game management reports that the tables hand shuffle. Automatic shufflers will be installed in the future. The game is dealt out of a shoe. There are no continuous shuffling machines.

Electronic table games remain in the original building. The options are 6/5 blackjack, baccarat, craps, and double zero roulette. These games start at $5 and change based on the time of day and business volumes. Players report $10 minimum bets during peak hours. Players will also find slots and sports betting kiosks there. However, video poker is still notably absent from Catawba Two Kings.

All North Carolina casinos now have live table games

This means that all three North Carolina casinos now deal live table games. Harrah’s Cherokee has about 200 live tables, including 32 in its poker room. There are three high-limit table game salons. Harrah’s Cherokee Valley River offers about 80 live tables, including its new poker room.

Catawba Two King’s latest addition does not include a poker room. However, the casino has not ruled one out for future expansions.

Spring 2024 brought more North Carolina gambling expansion

This is one of several North Carolina gambling expansions this year. In March, statewide mobile sports betting launched. Eight mobile sportsbooks operate in the state. However, Catawba Two Kings has yet to announce a partner.

In May, part of the $275 million expansion of Harrah’s Cherokee Valley River opened. This included a 10-table poker room that deals Texas hold’em and Omaha cash games.

Catawba Two Kings held a groundbreaking ceremony for its hotel and further gaming expansion. The estimated cost is $700 million. A dispute with a previous developer caused delays in the permanent structures being constructed.
