Rising Star Casino Resort is a riverboat casino on the Ohio River near the Indiana-Kentucky state line. It has almost 1,000 slot and video poker machines, table games, and a sportsbook. The property also has a hotel, an RV Park, a golf course, and four dining options. The Rising Star Ferry transports cars and passengers across the Ohio River into Kentucky.

Rising Star casino games

Rising Star is a riverboat casino with multiple levels of gambling. There are hundreds of slot and video poker machines and a selection of table games.

Table games open at 5pm Monday through Wednesday, at 11am on Thursday and Friday, and at 10am on weekends. Games dealt include blackjack, craps, Crazy 4 Poker, Mississippi Stud, roulette, and Three Card Poker. Table games are located on level two.

When we visited in May 2021, we found $10 table games including six-deck blackjack, craps, crapless craps, and Mississippi Stud. Double-deck blackjack was $25, as was stand on all 17 six-deck games. The double deck game only permits double down before and after splitting.

Rising Star players club

The Rising Star players club has five tiers. New players start at VIP. Players earn one tier point for every $1 coin-in on slots and for every $5 on video poker. 3 Stars is reached after 1,000 tier points, 4 Stars after 15,000 tier points, and 5 Stars after 50,000 tier points. Elite status is by invitation only.

Rewards include discounts on hotel rooms, ferry rides, and restaurants. Promotional events are also held for players club members.

Dining and drinks at Rising Star Casino Resort

There are four dining options at Rising Star Casino Resort. Choices include a steakhouse, sandwiches, quick bites, and coffee. Restaurants are located in the pavilion outside the casino.

Wellington’s is a fine-dining steakhouse. The menu includes striped bass, scallops, steaks, chicken cordon bleu, and pork chops. 

Located on level one, Jack’s Deli serves Skyline chili, coneys, deli sandwiches, pizza, and snacks. Jack’s is temporarily closed. Ben’s Bistro serves pizza, sandwiches, chicken fingers, pot roast, and quick bites. 

The Coffee Bar serves Starbucks coffee daily.

Hotel at Rising Star Casino Resort

The hotel at Rising Star Casino Resort has 294 guest rooms and suites. Rooms are subject to a $10 resort fee per room per night. The resort fee includes a business center and pool access, breakfast, and in-room bottled water. Amenities include Links Golf Course, indoor pool, hot tub, sauna, fitness center, and wireless internet.

All rooms at Rising Star Casino Resort include WiFi, an alarm clock, an iron/ironing board, a hairdryer, a coffee maker, and a TV. Rooms are located at The Lodge at Rising Star Casino and at Rising Star Casino Hotel. They feature either a single king or two queen beds with views of the riverboat casino or the golf course. Smoking rooms are available in the Rising Star Casino Hotel.

Rising Star Casino Resort offers two different suite trims. Located at The Lodge at Rising Star Casino, the Junior Suite includes additional space and the Deluxe Junior Suite offers three times the space as a standard room. Suites feature a single king or two queen beds, a refrigerator, and a microwave.

The Rising Star Casino Resort has 56 spots available. The six pull-through spots are 50 feet long and the 50 back-in spots are 40 feet long. Sites have 20/30/50 amp hookups and are pet friendly with 3 pets allowed per site. The pool is available to registered guests and accompanying visitors.
