Northern Waters Casino Resort is located in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan near the Wisconsin border. It is owned and operated by the Lac Vieux Desert Band of the Lake Superior Chippewa. The casino has around 500 slot and video poker machines, table games, and a sportsbook. The property has two restaurants and an 18-hole golf course. 132 hotel rooms and 14 RV sites are available for overnight guests.

Live table games include blackjack and Three Card Poker. Blackjack pitch and shoe games have a $5 minimum bet. Players may double down after splitting. The dealer hits soft 17. Three Card Poker has a $3 minimum. Tables are open Thursday through Monday nights from 4pm until midnight.

Superior Club is the players club at Northern Waters Casino Resort. Every 100 points earned may be converted into $1 in free slot play. Up to $300 in free play can be redeemed per day.

A Freedom Rewards players card is available for Veterans. Cardholders receive a 25% discount at restaurants, hotel rooms, and at the golf course.

PointsBet Sportsbook (Closed)

There was a PointsBet Sportsbook at Northern Waters Casino Resort. Lounge, high-top, and bar seating are available. The betting counter opened at noon on weekdays and 10am on weekends. It closed at 9pm on weekends, 7pm on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and at 8pm Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Kiosks were available from 8am until 2am Sunday through Friday and 24 hours on Saturday. It closed in 2023.

Northern Waters Casino Resort hotel

The Dancing Eagles Hotel at Northern Waters Casino Resort has 132 guestrooms. All rooms are nonsmoking. An 8% resort fee is included in the price of the room.

Amenities

Property amenities include a gift shop, an art gallery, an event center for up to 450 people, and an 18-hole golf course. The Birch Tree Gift Shop is open daily from 8am until 8pm. The Lac Vieux Desert Golf Course is open seasonally. An indoor heated pool is available for hotel guests. 

Rooms and suites

All rooms feature cable TV, a desk, an alarm clock, and a hairdryer. Standard rooms have either one queen, two queens, or one king bed. The single queen rooms have ADA features. Mini refrigerators are available in the Business, Whirlpool, Deluxe, and Executive rooms. The Executive room also has a wet bar in a separate living room, some have a fireplace.

RV Parking

There is a 14-site campground available at Northern Waters Casino Resort. Electricity and water are available. Availability is first come, first served. Restrained pets are welcome. Sites are $25 plus tax per day.
