Silverado is on the south end of downtown Deadwood on Main Street. Its sister property, the Franklin, is across the street. The two casinos use the same players clubs and promotions. Slot tickets and chips earned at one may be redeemed at the other. Silverado’s hotel is at Franklin.

Silverado-Franklin casino games
Silverado offers a wide variety of table games. Blackjack is the most common. The game uses six decks. Players may double down before and after splitting. The dealer hits soft 17. There are six blackjack limits that use two different limit structures. Four tables have $5 to $100 limits. The other two are $25 to $500.

There are two video table games at Silverado. There is Big Six and double zero roulette. Both have a $1 minimum bet.
Video poker
The video poker at Silverado is among the worst in Deadwood. All games return below 95 percent. There are only seven video poker machines at Silverado. These machines also spread keno. There are over 100 slots.
Silverado poker room
The Silverado poker room reopened on January 20, 2021. It has five tables and opens at 10am Wednesday through Sunday. It opens at 4pm on Monday and Tuesday.
The standard game is 2-20 spread limit Texas Hold’em. Dealer’s Choice is dealt on Wednesdays. Omaha hi/lo is offered on Fridays. A 3-100 game is dealt on weekend nights.
The Wednesday game is dealer’s choice between Texas Hold’em and Omaha high/low. There is an hourly high hand from 2pm to 6pm for Texas Hold’em. The Friday game is 2-20 spread limit Omaha high/low.
Silverado poker tournaments
There are four tournaments a week at Silverado. There is a $44 tournament at 2pm on Saturdays. It is a $220 tournament on the first Saturday each month. This also has a 10 percent chip bonus if entered by the 2pm start time. Sunday’s tournament starts at 3pm. The buy-in is $33. Players may enter with one, two or three stacks. On Thursdays, there is an $88 deep stack tournament. There is a $33 no limit Hold’em tournament at 6:30pm on Wednesday nights.
Tournaments have a mandatory $1 bad beat. A player that loses aces full of kings or better wins it under house rules of hole cards. There is also an optional $10 dealer add-on.
The South Dakota State Poker Championship is held at Silverado every year. It is a stop on the Mid-States Poker Tour. The buy-in is $1,100 with $1,000 going to the prize pool. The guaranteed prize pool is $100,000. The poker room offers many satellites and promotions that give players a chance to enter the South Dakota State Poker Championship at a discount.
Silverado poker promotions
Players that join the loyalty club can clock in at the poker room. This returns $2 per hour during the reopening promotion. It is normally $0.50 per hour.
The poker room takes a $1 jackpot drop that funds promotions. For Texas Hold’em, players that make four of a kind with a pocket pair win $50. A straight flush pays $100. A royal flush wins $250. Quads must use a pocket pair. Straight and royal flushes must use both hole cards.
There is a bad beat jackpot that hits when a player loses at least four of a kind. Quads must be a pocket pair. Straight and royal flushes must use both hole cards.
Players clocked in with a rewards card earn points that qualify for drawings. Every two hours of standard play wins one ticket for a drawing for a car. Once a month, the casino gives this away. There are 30 qualifiers that each win free play plus the chance to start the car to win it.
Winners may opt out of the car. The other options are $10,000 in cash or $12,000 in free play.
Players that are clocked in may also win casino-wide hot seat drawings. These are available on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
Silverado-Franklin casino promotions
All promotions require membership in the Silverado players club. Players earn one point for every $333 wagered. Point multipliers do not apply to video poker, live poker, live tables, or video table games.
On Mondays, players who earn 100 points win a $20 buffet credit. The Tuesday promotion is a point multiplier. Players spin a wheel before getting into action for the day. The top multiplier is 12 times.
There is a hot seat drawing three days a week. It runs from 5pm to 10pm on Fridays and Saturdays. On Sundays, it is offered from noon to 5pm. The entry-level card wins $50. Players with gold status receive $100. Platinum winners get $150. Millionaire players win $200.
Dining at Silverado-Franklin
Silverado-Franklin offers two dining options. The Deadwood Legends Steakhouse is located on the lower level of the Franklin. Open for breakfast and dinner daily. Breakfast includes pancakes, waffles, omelets, eggs benedict entrees as well as a la carte items. The dinner menu features chicken, seafood, pasta, and steaks. Steaks are aged for a minimum of 21 days.
The Silverado Grand Buffet is open for lunch and dinner daily. It offers brunch on weekends. Lunch and Saturday breakfast are $16.95 per person. Brunch on Sunday is $19.95. The prime rib dinner buffet is $22.95 Sunday through Thursday. The buffet offers crab legs and prime rib on Friday and Saturday nights. It runs for $42.95. Kids twelve and under are half-price.

Outside Bars
The Veranda offers a view of Main Street from the second level of the Franklin. The full bar is open Memorial Day through September, weather permitting. Seating is available starting at 3pm on Fridays and 2pm on weekends.
The newly opened Outlaw Square Deck offers outside bar service. The long bar offers covered seating for over 70 guests. Adjacent to the Outlaw Square, the seating has overhead heating for the cold months.
Historic Franklin Hotel
The 23-room Historic Franklin Hotel first opened in 1903. Guest rooms include free Wi-Fi, a TV, and a seating area. Smoking rooms are available. Standard rooms offer one king, one queen, two queens, or a queen with a single bed. Some rooms offer a view of Main Street.
Suites provide an extra seating area. Small and large suites are available. Some suites offer a refrigerator, microwave, and wet bar.
