The Penn Play players club is the loyalty card for 35 Penn National Gaming casinos. The company owns a variety of gaming brands, including Hollywood Casino and most Ameristar properties. The mychoice card became Penn Play in April 2023.
How to get a Penn Play players card
There are two ways to get a Penn Play players card. One is to go to a casino that uses it for its players club. This requires a valid photo ID. That list of Penn Play properties is at the bottom of this page.
The other way to get a Penn Play card is to complete an application online. This can be done at the Penn Play website or on its app. Penn Play players must be at least 21 years old.
Penn Play tiers and perks
There are five tiers in the Penn Play players club program. Players start at the choice tier. These players receive mailers based on play. No points are earned in this tier. The other levels are based on the number of annual tier points earned. All tiers earn all the perks of the levels below it in addition to the ones noted in the corresponding section.
Advantage – 1,000 tier points
Points are earned at the advantage tier. There is a 10% Norwegian Cruise discount and 5% discount at the Penn Play mall.
Preferred – 18,000 tier points
Preferred Penn Play players receive hotel offers for M Resort and Tropicana in Las Vegas. There is a 15% discount on cruises. VIP lounges and complimentary valet parking are included.
Elite – 50,000 tier points
The Norwegian Cruise discount is 20% for Elite Penn Play players. There is an annual cruise offer with an oceanview cabin. These players receive line passes, a VIP host, VIP parking, and a companion card. Penn Cash never expires for these players. Hotels have VIP check-in for these players. Resort fees are always waived.
Owners Club – 200,000 tier points
Owners Club Penn Play players receive an annual Norwegian Cruise with a balcony cabin. Additional cruises have a 25% discount. There is a $500 travel reimbursement each year, as well as an annual gift that includes a one-year lease on a Mercedes-Benz after 400,000 tier points. There is also priority slot service, guaranteed comp room, birthday dinner with a host, quarterly reception with the casino manager, and an annual celebration dinner.
How to use a Penn Play card
Using a Penn Play players card is simple. When playing a slot, video poker, or electronic table game machine, insert it in the cardholder. This is usually by the bill acceptor or above the screen. At table games, hand the card to the dealer with your buy-in.
How to earn Penn Play points
Penn Play members must earn tier points to receive Penn Cash, the form of currency used in the loyalty program. A tier point is earned in the following ways:
- Slots: $5 coin-in
- Video poker: $10 coin-in
- Table games: Based on bet size, time played, and house edge of game
- Electronic table games: $40 coin-in
- Live poker: One hour receives 20 tier points

- Online slots and video poker: $12 coin-in
- Online table games: $25 coin-in
