How to Play High Card Flush and I Luv Suits

High Card Flush is one of the newest table games that found widespread success. I Luv Suits Poker, a game with the same concept, quickly followed suit. These two games are offered at about 25% of the casinos we cover. Most casinos only deal one or the other. However, we found both at Paris Las Vegas.

The minimum bet for High Card Flush and I Luv Suits is usually $5 or $10 at a casino. An online casino usually deals it for $0.10.

High Card Flush and I Luv Suits rules

High Card Flush and I Luv Suits both use a 52-card deck. The player makes a required Ante bet. There are optional side bets. The player and dealer receive seven cards face down.

The player decides whether they want to stay in the hand or fold. If they play, there is a mandatory raise at least equal to the Ante. The stronger the hand, the larger the raise permitted. If the player folds, the Ante and all other bets lose.

There are two ways to rank hands. The first is the number of the same suit held. The higher the number of suited cards, the better the hand is. If the player and dealer have the same number of suited cards, the best ranks determine the winner. For example, if the dealer has a three-card jack-high flush and the player has a queen-high three-card flush, the player wins. However, if the dealer had a four-card jack-high flush, it would beat all player three-card flushes.

The player may raise only an amount equal to the Ante on two, three, or four-card flushes. The player may bet double the Ante on a five-card flush. Three times the Ante is permitted on six and seven-card flushes.

The dealer must have at least a three-card nine-high flush to qualify. If the dealer fails to qualify, the raises push. The Ante still plays.

High Card Flush and I Luv Suits strategy

The strategy for these games is simple. Raise the maximum allowed amount on four, five, six, and seven-card flushes. On a three-card flush, raise with ten-eight-six, or better. Fold anything lower. When accounting for the raises, the house advantage at High Card Flush and I Luv Suits is 1.58%.

High Card Flush side bets

There are two High Card Flush side bets. Both are optional. One is the Flush. It pays when a player makes a four or more card flush. Here is the pay table we found at live casinos. Multiply the number in the pay table by the bet to determine the win amount.

Buying into a game

Getting chips at a High Card Flush table is simple. You can bring ones from other tables or give the dealer cash. The dealer usually gives players $5 chips at a High Card Flush table as the minimum bet is often $5 or $10. You can request larger ones if you prefer higher limits. The same applies to I Luv Suits.

At an online casino, make a deposit using a variety of electronic methods, or use existing funds in your account. Your chips automatically move to a game when you open the software.

How to make a bet

To get a High Card Flush or I Luv Suits hand, you must first make an Ante bet. There is a betting circle on the felt at a casino where this goes. Place your preferred chip that is at least equal to the minimum bet there. You can do the same with the optional side bets.

At an online casino, choose the denomination you want in the chip collection at the bottom of the screen. After that, click the Ante circle until your desired bet is there. Click the deal button when your bets are set.

When you are done, you can make a new bet or leave. At an online casino, click the rebet button to repeat the same wager or new bet to make it a different amount.

Cashing out your winnings

If you had some luck, you have chips left at the end of your play. At a live casino, ask the dealer for higher denomination chips before leaving. This is called coloring up. At an online casino, your chips return to your main account. These may be used to withdraw from the online casino or on other games at the same site. If you intend to play again soon, it is better to leave the chips in the casino site account.
