On July 1, 2021, Golden Mardi Gras Casino group was rebranded to become Bally’s Black Hawk. The former Mardi Gras at 300 Main Street, Golden Gates at 261 Main Street, and Golden Gulch at 321 Main Street are now Bally’s Black Hawk North, Bally’s Black Hawk West, and Bally’s Black Hawk East, respectively.
Bally’s North and Bally’s West are connected by an elevated walkway that crosses Main Street. Bally’s East is a smaller casino next to Bally’s West. There are table games at Bally’s North and Bally’s West. Bally’s East is all slots and video poker. Some of the machines at Bally’s East are coin-operated. There is a poker room at Bally’s West. The DraftKings sportsbook is at Bally’s North. Bally Bet is its in-house Colorado mobile betting app. Bally’s Black Hawk has a combined four restaurants across its three Black Hawk properties. There is no hotel.

Bally’s Black Hawk Casinos
Bally’s North and Bally’s West are currently open through the weekend. The properties open at 8am Thursday through 2am on Tuesday. Then, on Tuesday and Wednesday, they are open from 8am until 2am. Bally’s East is open from 11am to 9pm Sunday through Thursday and 11am to 1am Friday and Saturday.
Bally’s Black Hawk West Casino
There are seven table games at Bally’s West. This includes three blackjack tables. The six-deck blackjack tables have a $10 minimum and $500 maximum. They allow a double-down before and after splitting, surrender, and re-split aces up to four hands. Blackjack pays 3:2. The dealer hits soft 17 at all tables.
Bonus 6 Stud Poker is dealt for $5 to $25. There is a $10 to $100 double zero roulette table. Craps is $15 to $500, and it has 20 times odds. The field pays double on 12.

There are 17 tables in the Bally’s West poker room. It opens daily at 8am daily and closes at 3am Saturday night and 2am other nights.

The buy-in for 1/3 no limit is $100 to $300, and it is $200 to $1,000 for 2/5 no limit. Pot limit Omaha or Big O may be available during busier hours.
Poker tournaments are dealt at the Bally’s West poker room. Tournaments are no limit Texas hold’em. These games start at 10am, noon, and 7pm.
Players receive $1/hour in cash game comps. Players that put in 20 hours of cash game play in a week receive a $50 cash boost. It goes to $75 after 30 hours and $100 when reaching 40 hours.
Bally’s Black Hawk North Casino
There are eight table games at Bally’s North. The limits are what we found in October 2021.
Two tables offer double-deck blackjack with a $15 minimum bet. There are two $10 six-deck tables. Players may double down before and after splitting. Re-split aces is added to the six-deck game. Surrender is no longer available. Blackjack pays 3:2 at all blackjack tables. The dealer hits soft 17.
Double-zero roulette is offered for $10. Craps is available for $15 with 20 times odds, and the field pays double on 12. Bonus 6 Stud Poker is dealt for $5-25. Roulette has a maximum bet of $100 and craps is $1,000.
There are also a few electronic table game options. Games include a multiplayer 00 roulette machine and heads-up blackjack and craps.
The rest of the casino floor is slots and video poker. All are ticket-in/ticket-out. For player-friendly choices, we would play the 9/5 Double Double Bonus with a progressive, or 8/6 Bonus Poker Deluxe. Located on the third floor of the Bally’s North, Casino Café & Grille serves all-day breakfast. Menu items include steak and seafood entrees, burgers, and sandwiches. Creekside Deli, located on the first floor of Bally’s North, serves quick bite options.
Full House Café is located on the first floor of Bally’s West. Breakfast burritos and sandwiches are served until noon. Burgers, wraps, sandwiches, and chicken tenders are available on the lunch and dinner menu.
