Ultimate Texas Hold’em plays like Heads Up Hold’em. However, it requires an additional bet for the best value. An Ultimate Texas Hold’em hand starts with an equal ante and blind. There is an option to raise four times the ante before the flop, two times after it, or an amount equal to the blind after the river. This means that a player needs six bets to get the best value, and three to play it to completion without a forced fold.
There is an option to raise only three times the ante before the flop instead of four. That is never the proper play.
